President, Principal
Co-founder and President of Lanex, LLC, Matt offers over 24 years of programming and software integration experience; including an extensive background in developing large, database-driven web sites and Learning Management Systems, utilizing ASP, .NET, Cold Fusion, Perl scripting and various database formats. Matt’s core competencies include content management systems and systems integration solutions. He is both A+ and a Microsoft Certified Professional.
Matt’s broad based portfolio includes: Custom software for the dispatching display board for the Chicago 911 system; Directory system for the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD; and numerous visual database projects. Matt’s work has been featured in articles in the Chicago Sun Times (June 12, 1995), Photo & Electronic Imaging Magazine, May, 1992; September 1991 issue, Chicago Film & Video News.
Programming languages and/or applications that Matt works with include ASP (VBScript), Cold Fusion, VBA, JavaScript, DHTML, PHP, Perl, Filemaker Pro, Visual Foxpro, xBase, PowerBuilder, ORDBMS, SQL Server, MySQL, Microsoft Access and Macromedia Authorware. Operating environments that Matt works with include Windows platforms, Linux, various Unix implementations and Novell Netware.
Vice President, Principal
Co-Founder of Lanex, LLC, Herb Guenther offers over 26 years of experience in programming, web site design, training and support solutions, disaster recovery services and physical and network security. Herb’s specialties include configurators, bills-of-material creation, dynamic PDF based quotations and data importation/exportation.
Herb’s broad technical experience and background in engineering allow him a unique perspective on the business solutions offerings. His projects include one of the first secure multi-network virtual private networks (VPN) used by locations in the UK, Australia, Canada and Hong Kong.
Programming languages and/or applications Herb works in include Cold Fusion, Filemaker Pro, Microsoft Access, Flash, SQL Server, MySQL, ASP and others as needed. He also works with streaming video and security video products. Operating environments that Herb works with include Windows platforms, Linux and UNIX.
Systems Engineer
Dana Stiemke is responsible for conceptualization, project scope definition, business requirements elicitation, interface design, software architecture, programming and testing. Dana has an extensive background in business systems and software engineering, as well as broad industry and application experience within many Fortune 500 companies. In addition to his strategic involvement, Dana also adds 20 years of experience in eCommerce applications, which is a critical service offering of our organization. He was responsible for IT strategic planning and development for Manpower Inc., where he launched an ambitious program to integrate both internal and customer-facing applications using n-tier client-server technologies and the Internet. He has also provided IT consulting for Cap Gemini and as an independent contractor.
Dana’s focus in recent years has been eCommerce. His most recent work has included an intranet-based, CRM and Sales Reporting application for a National manufacturer of office equipment and accessories; as well as two database-driven catalog sites that included integration of third-party credit card processors.
Dana is proficient in ASP, Javascript, HTML/CSS, Java, ASP.NET, and VB.NET, utilizing Macromedia Dreamweaver and Microsoft Visual Studio. Database experience includes MS SQL Server, MySQL, and MS Access. He is also familiar with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator. Continuing education has included courses in eMarketing, eCommerce and Web systems design.
Vice President of Finance
As Vice President of Finance, Abby Mathias manages the traditional financial infrastructure for Lanex, including the billing activities, budgeting, and expenditure control. Abby also works with our staff to optimize efficiency. She provides the sales and management team with accurate records that assists them during the quoting process and helps ensure that current projects are completed within the budget requirements. Additionally, she is available to answer billing questions and assist with changes to accounts.
Abby recieved a Bachelor of Business Administration Degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in the areas of Accounting and Finance.
Application Developer
Erik brings more than 6 years of experience to the Lanex team in the areas of application, database development, as well as server support. Erik’s experience includes partnering with a variety of industry segments including non-profit organizations, manufacturing, and service-related companies. Recent project have included development of a number of document library systems, online order entry and product catalogs, a registration and reservation tool, and several Content Management Systems. PDA development experience includes Windows Mobile, iPhone, and Google Android. Programming languages and/or applications that Erik works with include ASP.Net, Flex, ActionScript, ASP and PHP, MS-SQL for web applications and works in C# application space.
Multimedia Designer
Joseph establishes the layout and visual appearance of projects. He designs and develops the front-end user experience using graphics, text and animation to communicate the client’s ideas to their customers. Joseph’s artistic skills coupled with his experience in coding brings both creative and functional skills to the Lanex team.
Joseph has a background in design and content management from working with Richard J. Brown library. He has also worked freelance as a graphic designer, serving many commercial clients. Common projects included creating: company brands, web sites, and marketing material. Joseph brings more than 8 years of experience with Photoshop and Illustrator, and is fluent in HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
Application Developer
Brandon came to Lanex LLC with four years of hybrid web development experience under his belt. He is passionate about the web and enjoys solving real-world problems using cutting-edge technology. His experience includes both server and client-side development from working as a graphics and UI designer, and as a server-side programmer.
Brandon’s areas of expertise are in flexible Content Management Systems and E-Commerce design and implementation using Microsoft based technologies such as ASP.NET, MVC, Classic ASP, SQL, as well as client-side languages such as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
Application Developer
Greg brings to Lanex LLC experience in different client-side and server-side development. He has done work with ASP.Net and Java n-tier development, ASP.Net MVC development, and Silverlight MVVM development. He knows how to use LINQ to query Lists and query a SQL Server database.
He also has client-side experience with jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS. He specializes in Microsoft technologies, but has done work in Java and C++. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Management Information Systems
